Hi there, I’m Rahmi from bound2explore.com. My two biggest passions in life are traveling and engineering. When I’m not busy working as a civil engineer, you can find me swimming with the shark, diving, admiring great architecture, trying new activity, eating exotic food in the foreign land or simply waiting at the gate for my next flight. So if you are like me who enjoy your job and love traveling the world, I’m here to convince you that you can do both. After all, it’s one life to live, so why not have it all.
How would you describe your blog to a person that has never visited it before?
My blog is about finding adventures all over the world and how to travel the world and explore while you have a fulltime job.
What made you decide to create a blog?
My friends, family and colleagues came to me for advice, idea and tips regarding traveling, so I thought why not compiled all of my experiences, story, tips and advice in one place for easy access. Besides I like telling stories and inspire people to explore the world. As I do agree with Augustine of Hippo when he said ” The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page.”
Was there a moment when you thought, “I could do this professionally”? If so, what triggered that desire/realization?
When I read an article about a travel blogger with a very small number of followers scored a sponsored trip/accommodation by pitching to so many companies. That moment I realized I could do this and I did.
What fuels your passion for creating content?
The desire to share my experiences and to inspire people to travel and explore the world.
What has been the biggest challenge in maintaining a successful blog?
I have very busy schedule. Managing time for both my professional career as civil engineer and travel blogger can be challenging.
What is your favorite post that you created? Why?
A Perfect day trip from Dublin: Wicklow Mountain National Park. It was such a great experience to work with Hilltoptrek tour company. Not to mention that the view of Wicklow Mountai was absolutely breathtaking.
What is your favorite social media channel? Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, other? Why?
Facebook and Instagram, I feel like I can tell more stories and communicate well with my followers using these two platforms.
Do you have any last piece of advice for aspiring bloggers?
Follow your passion, be real and be honest on your review post. When you are true to yourself, you will create a brand that is uniquely you and the success will follow.
Lastly, what is something that you could share with us that we wouldn’t learn from reading your blog?
Travel by yourself at least once in your lifetime. You will see the world in the different perspectives and you will acquire a great sense of independence.
